To calculate the business case and to compare technologies as well as product quality and costs, project developers and operators require performance guarantees from suppliers, such as hydrogen production rate and power consumption. To make sure all relevant aspects are considered, and values can be compared, we advocate for a standardized approach to the definition and calculation of performance values and the resulting electrolyzer lifetime.
