About the speaker:
Paula García has developed a great part of her professional career within the Wind Power sector. She initially worked in the Quality department at Iberdrola and later at Schlumberger as an industrialization engineer, before beginning her trajectory at Siemens Gamesa, where she has occupied various management positions since 2003, focused on both Onshore Wind Power and Wind Farm maintenance in different countries.
Paula is currently CEO for South Europe and Africa within the Onshore business unit of the company. With a degree in industrial electrical engineering and an international executive MBA, Paula is also a proud member of the Spanish Association of Executives and Board Members (EJE&CON) and a strong supporter and member of the Spanish Association for women in energy.

Javier has 20 years of experience in the energy sector. He has worked in Oil & Gas and predominantly in power generation sector. He has held key roles in engineering, project management, and sales, always closely related to gas and steam turbine technology. For the past 10 years, he has been part of the Siemens Energy sales team for generation equipment, working with Spanish clients on international projects. Currently, he is the sales head for new generation equipment in Spain.

Dr. Krol joined Siemens Energy as mechanical engineer followed by several assignments in technical and management roles. During his career, he built up and lead engineering teams, followed by roles as product line manager and marketing for generators and gas turbines. He deeply analyzed the impact of the energy transition on power generation equipment and grid stability. Based on this experience, he developed sustainable and stable concepts supporting municipalities, industries, and country level, understanding the impact of energy transition on their operations and helping to build up reliable and sustainable energy systems.

About the speaker:
Mark Kuschel was born in 1969 and studied electrical engineering at the Technical University of Berlin where he obtained his diploma in 1994 and his doctorate in 1999 in the field of diagnostics for thermoplastic-insulated medium-voltage cables. In 1996, he was awarded the Herbert Kind Prize of the ETG in VDE, with which he carried out a research project in the USA lasting several months. After his doctorate, he worked as a development engineer at the Pirelli cable factory in Berlin. Since mid-2001, he has held various global technical and management positions in the high-voltage products and gas-insulated switchgear divisions of Siemens and Siemens Energy in Berlin and Erlangen.
