The long-term service agreement (LTSA) includes Forsmark Units 1–3 and Ringhals 3 and 4 – two of Sweden’s most important producers at fossil-free electricity. Forsmark alone delivers approximately 25 TWh annually, making it one of the country’s largest power stations. Nuclear energy remains a central pillar of Sweden’s power supply and will continue to play a crucial role in meeting future electricity demand and grid stability.
The LTSA covers nine turbosets consisting of steam turbines and generators. Vattenfall relies on Siemens Energy as a holistic service provider with strong local expertise, field service, and project management capabilities in Sweden. Siemens Energy’s global center of competence in Mülheim, Germany, strengthens this partnership with world-class steam turbine and generator engineering and manufacturing excellence.
